At our Blairgowrie project, we designed a coastal garden that softens & compliments the architecture by Studio Whiting. Timber sleeper steps lead to the front door, and a winding gravel path moves through layered planting beneath a canopy of banksias, wattles and eucalypts. A planting mix of clipped shrubs, silver and grey-blue groundcovers and bold strappy foliage create a rich play of texture and tone. The predominantly native planting palette draws in the birdlife and creates wildlife habitat. The result is a relaxed garden that suits its coastal conditions and feels settled into the site on the Mornington Peninsula.
